TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PLAY

As part of your Team Registration, you are agreeing you have read and accepted the HPN Summer Competition Terms & Conditions below.

General

Team Registration payment must be made prior to the start of the competition. We accept payment by credit card and Active Kids vouchers.
Each participating player must be registered online (minimum of 7 registered players and maximum of 12 registered players per team will be accepted).

If your team needs to forfeit a match, HPN should be notified before 12pm on the day of the match (but ideally as early as possible) by call or text message to 0425 297 332. Failure to notify HPN regarding your forfeiture or if HPN is notified after 12pm on the day of the match, may result in your team incurring a fine.

Please respect all umpires and players. Any disrespect or verbal abuse will not be tolerated. If there is any failure to adhere to these rules, the player or spectator will be asked to leave the court or leave the netball court area at the umpire’s discretion. This could result in your team being removed from the competition with no refund.

You are able to interchange your registered players if you are short on numbers for a match. You may also contact HPN on 0425 297 332 for assistance in finding extra players for you where possible. Please ensure you do this within the timeframe allowed as otherwise you may be required to forfeit the match. HPN will not guarantee finding players for your team.

Decisions regarding wet weather and cancellations will be made from 3:00pm for the first timeslot then as needed after this time. Weather updates are posted on Facebook and our website.

Risk Warning

Playing netball is subject to risks and players can incur injuries. I acknowledge that:

  • I am responsible for my own participation and wellbeing. I am not aware of any medical or physical condition that may preclude me from participating in the kind of exercise that the game of netball demands.

  • I will be fit and well enough to take the court, and will determine this for myself prior to each game;

  • I have informed the organisation and will inform the umpires of any existing condition and/or injury which may affect my ability to play netball;

  • I will abide by HPN’s code of behaviour and the rules of the game of Netball as a condition of my participation;

  • High Performance Netball has professional insurance for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity as well as Personal Accident Insurance for our registered members.

  • Whilst HPN will take every precaution to ensure my safety, the areas of parkland surrounding the courts are the property and responsibility of the local authority. I understand this, and agree to not hold HPN accountable for any accident or injury to myself or my children that occurs beyond the defined netball court whilst participating in Rabbitohs HPN Summer Competition matches; and

  • In the event of an injury - I understand that HPN and their officials reserve the right to call an Ambulance to attend me if they deem it necessary. I can expect HPN to call an ambulance in any circumstance where I become unconscious or I am unable to be moved from the court for whatever reason - conscious or unconscious.

I hereby expressly assume all risks (special or otherwise) associated with my participation and release HPN and it's directors, partners, employees and contractors from all liability or responsibility whatsoever for personal injury, illness, property loss and/or damage or death resulting from the use of the facility and/or equipment provided in the course of my game of netball and/or training, except to the extent that such occurred as a result of negligence on the part of HPN.
